Bistro Dining Stools
After my experiences on placement I became very interested in mixing modern plastic components with traditional carpentry to create unique furniture pieces. The first product I designed with this inspiration was a set of stools and a table to be used in casual cafes and bistros.
The injection moulded stool and table tops are fixed to sustainable pine legs to create a unique aesthetic with a strong structure. |
DryTable Group Project
The first group project of university was to create a design that either uses or interacts with water. After brain storming and numerous design stages, we decided to create a set of furniture that would automatically drain water away from the user.
The DryTable consisted of a set of chairs, benches and a table that all had a geometric hole pattern to allow water to drown through the back of the chair or the middle of the table. The holes were designed in such a way to ensure no small personal items could go through. I did the CAD and rendering for this project. |
Avotable
The Avotable was a quick conceptual piece of furniture I created as an inside joke, but the unusual and quirky looks of this table have shown real potential in the design. The shape and colours have all been inspired by an avocado.
The hard wearing green veneer is used to stop scratches and reduce marking. The ceramic pot can be used to store keys and books etc. |
